Curriculum

Assessment:

We encourage teachers to do as many assessments as possible throughout the academic year.

Formative assessment:

This type of assessment includes class tests, homework, assignments and projects, and book marks.

Summative assessment:

This type of assessment includes control tests (written once during every 6-week grading period) and examinations written in November, February and May.

Reporting

Academic progress reports are sent out at the end of every 6-week grading periods. Parent/teacher interviews are held twice a year.

Professional development:

The core business of a school is teaching and learning. As teachers, our classroom practice has to be rigorous and meaningful. Professional development is, therefore, an integral part of the academic’s staff program at BAIS.
